No other pairing I've ever laid eyes on, and will see in the future, can ever rival how dark, emotional, funny, romantic and epic this pairing is. It has made an impact on me so huge, that it made me passionate about the history of my own country, and the history of the world itself.
From their first encounter during the British Occupation of Manila and the Port of Cavite, the Philippine-American war, the Vietnam War and everything else, you can clearly see a beautifully made love-hate story, even without thinking the personality of the actual characters. I was so awed by their story, that even until now, I find it kinda hard to believe that what happened was real, it was as if their story was written by the greatest man in the world of literature. The pairing has yet to be discovered, though. Most people think that they just invaded and had a war, but America actually compensated for his actions and did everything he could in order for Philippines to attain her independence in the most peaceful way possible. He reformed her education, improved her economy, protected her and helped her grow into a country that can stand for herself. Certainly, that wasn't how a colonizer usually treats a colony. Even until now, their relationship is a very strong one.
(Since Philippines isn't in hetalia yet, I based this on real facts )

I love these two since they contrast each other so well, and despite that become close friends. And how he only killed her a few times (he didn't kill her at all in the tv show).

Again, I am an absolute sucker for love-hate relationships. I love how Spain and Portugal subsequently became allies for the first time in centuries during the Napoleonic era. And how roughly their relationship first started as it slowly blooms, even after all their struggles together during that period. On the recent years, their relationship has apparently been going good.

I love how they would always fight and not realize that they are already getting along. Plus, they have a beautiful, intimate history together. More love-hate relationships!!!

I personally don't like JapXTai since I think she would just be bugging her and he would have a boring reaction, they're like oil and water, they don't mix.
I think Taiwan and Hong Kong look.. cute together .
I'm not much of a fan of this though.

I rarely come upon pairings like this that aren't cheesy. I find their history peaceful yet full of beautiful events. And how during the cold war, for the first time in years, they were on different sides. I find their pairing a really simple yet beautiful one.
